内容介绍 :	Tong Long-shan has four daughters but he stubbornly holds on to tradition and resists his daughters' insistence on free love and marriage. Eldest daughter Suk-ching is past marriageable age and regularly falls ill from worries. She loves a poor doctor Leung Si-kit but dare not tell her father who insists that she be well-matched in social and economic status. A despondent Suk-ching attempts suicide but is saved by Si-kit. Their love strengthens and they tie the knot. Second daughter Suk-han is filial. She falls in love with Chow Tat-sang, son of her father's manager. Following a crisis with her father, she elopes with Chow Tat-sang. Third daughter Suk- fong is the reckless type. She falls in love with classmate Lee Ka-suen and decides to leave home to build her own family. Fourth daughter Suk-fen is lively and rough. She likes to play with the boy-next-door. All these liasons bring a lot of heartache to Tong Long-shan but he eventually gives the nod to his daughters' marriages. (Extractedfrom a newspaper synopsis.)
