内容介绍 :	As the new year approaches, trading company manager Siu Ming-wu has to evade his many creditors. When his cousin Wu Hark- on comes visiting from Guangzhou, Ming-wu lies to his creditors by saying that Hark-on is a rich relative returning from overseas and that all debts will soon be settled. In fact, Hark-on has come to ask Ming-wu for financial help. But Ming-wu's unflagging mouth puts Hark-on in further trouble when Hon Mung-fei, a film director, comes calling and through Ming-wu's insistence, Hark-on finds that he has promised to invest in the director's next film. Mung-fei's publicity machine gets to work. Now everybody believes that Ming-wu's finances are sound since he seems to have got help from the God of Wealth. Having re-established his creditors' confidence, some so-called investors come forward and scheme to get their hands into Hark-on's coffers. The film director promises Hark-on's daughter Lai-ngo the leading part, while the middleman Chan Hoi-wan comes up with a plan to have Hark-on seduced by Lily Lam. Lily however is old pals with Siu Ming-wu. Hark-on then gets into a quarrel with his own daughter over a scandal spread by Mung-fei. Mutual incrimination becomes the order of the day. Mrs. Wu gets wind of all this in Guangzhou and has come to Hong Kong to put a stop to the mess. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
