内容介绍 :	Unemployed youth Tong Yi-ping picks up a handbag belonged to Lucy Lee from an illustrious family. Hoping to climb up the social ladder, Yi-ping poses as the son of a Shanghai banker on business in Hong Kong and returns the bag. Lucy is impressed by Yi-ping's bravado and very soon, they become lovers. Lucy's father welcomes the match for his own purposes: he hopes to have Yi-ping helping him out of his financial crisis. Yi-ping carries out his masquerade, with the help of his friends Old Sum, Ma Ngai, Siu-mui, and Kitty, and succeeds in getting engaged with Lucy. On the pretext of preparing for the engagement, Yi-ping tells Lucy he is returning to Shanghai. In fact, he and the gang are working in a factory to earn money for the wedding. The landlord of Yi-ping turns out to be Mr Wah, Lucy's old suitor. When Mr Wah finds out that Lucy's fiance is none other than Yi-ping who is heavily indebted, he exposes Yi-ping on the day of the engagement ceremony. When the wedding plan eventually collapses, Yi- ping and his friends are disillusioned and remorsefully seek to find another track to life.
