内容介绍 :	Businessman Law Chi-nam is a widower running business in the city . His old father and daughter, Yeuk-lan and all household affairs are left to his harsh sister. Chi-nam later marries Yuen-wah, daughter of his friend Chan Mo-kit whom he once helped during the war. However, Yuen- wah has an old beau, Luk Kong, whom she still meets after her marriage. Chi-nam meets Luk Kong visiting his wife one day. Yuen-wah introduces him as her cousin. Deceived by her words, Chi-nam asks Luk Kong to look after his wife while he goes away on business. Meanwhile, Yeuk-lan is encouraged by Yuen-wah to leave the Law mansion to follow her lover, an engineer. When Chi-nam returns, his sister tells him of the affair between his wife and Luk Kong. Chi-nam confronts his wife and during the quarrel, accidentally pushes her down the stairs. She falls to her death and Chi-nam is arrested and put in prison. Finally, the Law mansion is empty, saves for the presence of the old man, Chi-nam's father. (Extracted from a newspaper synopsis.)
