内容介绍 :	Song-girl Wong Yuk-heung rejects the courtship of Sixth Brother Au because Au does business with the Japanese. She secretly marries young man Fung Hon-keung. When war begins, Hon-keung is recalled to the Mainland to fight for the country. Yuk-heung bids her farewell and promises to wait for Hon-keung to return. As the enemy occupies the city, Yuk-heung flees to the countryside with her stepmother. On the way, they are robbed. Au meets Yuk-heung again in a refugee camp. He offers money to her stepmother but Au's wife, Madam Law, obstructs the intended transaction. This way, Yuk-heung escapes the lewd clutches of Au. However, Madam Law is having an affair with her husband's partner, the local bully Flankhead Cheung. Law and Cheung conspire to have Yuk-heung sold to a procuress Fourth Auntie. Overhearing their conspiracy, Yuk-heung runs away, hoping to find Hon-keung, but she is caught and beaten up. Travelling players Ma Cheung and Lee Shui take sympathy on Yuk-heung. They hide her and travel with her to another town to sing for their living. Meanwhile, Au is assasinated for discovering his wife's affair. Madam Law is appreciative of Ma Cheung and Lee Shui's artistry and gives them money as tuition payment. Ma and Lee take her money but immediately depart with Yuk-heung to another town. The chief of police has ruled that no travelling players be allowed to entertain on the streets. On closer investigation, it is discovered that the chief of police is none other than Hon-keung, Yuk-heung's husband. When Madam Law turns up in pursuit of Ma and Lee, Hon-keung arrests her and associate. Having reunited Yuk-heung and Hon-keung, Ma and Lee depart. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
