内容介绍 :	Ka Tzui-fung comes from a good family but her old man has fallen into bad company and has lost all his money. Tzui-fung is sold to a brothel but seizes an opportunity to run away and finds a job in a weaving mill. She lives with her friend Ah Ying. Blessed with good looks, Tzui-fung is courted by old neighbour Law Chung and the factory boss Wong Chung-man. Tzui- fung rejects Law Chung because he is poor. The factory boss, meanwhile, promotes Tzui-fung to become his secretary. Through this post, she becomes acquainted with the merchant Chan Ching-chi. Chan is immediately attracted to Tzui-fung and during their many dates, tries to persuade her to leave the factory. Tzui-fung agrees but knowing Ching-chi's frivolous nature, she demands that they marry officially and that she be first given $3000 as guaranty. Tzui-fung soon discovers that Ching-chi has a Portuguese mistress. Pretending to be pregnant, Tzui-fung demands that Ching-chi pay her $20000 as a separation indemnity. Fearing that Ching-chi might retaliate once he discovers the truth, Tzui-fung and the Ying depart for Macau. (Extracted from a synopsis published in Wah Kiu Yat Po, 1948/11/7.)
