内容介绍 :	Aging prostitute Fa Kan-tip lives out her life on a materialistic dream, worshipping only money. Her daughter, Lai-ching is married to Kam Hen-sang with two daughters: the first daughter is named Fung-chu and the second one is named Yee -chu. Hen-sang is a poor scholar with no talent for making money and must rely on Lai-ching, who resorts to the pleasure business to make ends meet. Rich businessman Tso Tsi-hing has just lost his wife and in his travels , meets Fung-chu, who bears a resemblance to his late wife. Fung-chu, on the other hand, thinks Tsi-hing is a cad but gets close to him after she learns his story. Fung-chu seeks this opportunity to get better off and implicitly indicates her intention to live with Tsi-hing, Thinking she is capricious, Tsi-hing rejects her advances. Humiliated, Fung-chu attempts suicide by jumping into the sea but she is saved by Tsi-hing. Thereafter, Fung -chu pours out her emotions and the two fall in love. Tsi-hing calls on the Kam family and sees that Fa Kan-tip and Yee-chu are uncommonly vulgar, while Kam Hen-sang comes home in an alcoholic stupor, and mistakes Tsi-hing for a brothel client. Disgusted, Tsi-hing leaves. Lai-ching now realises that her status may become an impediment to her daughter's happiness. She decides to end her life. In order to raise funds for her mother's burial, Fung -chu is forced to sell her body but fortunately, Tsi-hing is able to redeem her from the brothel. The two lovers become husband and wife.
