内容介绍 :	Yiu Kei-sum is a university professor: aloof, serious and self-righteous. His nephew, having enrolled in the university, comes to stay with him. His nephew is a philandering young man whose heart is not in his studies. He patronises a nightclub where he meets and falls in love with social butterfly To Tsui-nung. Kei-sum, suspecting his nephew's misconduct, follows him one day to Tsui-nung's house and discovers that his nephew and Tsui-nung are in intimate terms. He barges into the house, makes a scene and castigates Tsui-nung but is moved by Tsui-nung's tears and promises to come every day to teach her. Kei-sum is gradually seduced by Tsui-nung. He shaves off his beard, puts on a Western lounge suit, and gives money to Tsui-nung to take care of her destitute parents. It is all a plan by Tsui-nung and her lover to cheat Kei-sum of his money. Totally infatuated by Tsui-nung, Kei-sum abandons his family and withdraws his life's savings to give to Tsui-nung. Finally, Tsui-nung and Kei- sum are arrested and put to jail. On his release, Kei-sum discovers that his property has been confiscated by the government. Separated from his wife and children, Kei-sum becomes a beggar.
