内容介绍 :	The Pain of Separation is based on a Cantonese folk ballad sung on the beat of a Chinese block. It was first made into a silent film and then into a Cantonese film. The plot deals with scholar Miu Lin-sin and his love affair with prostitute Mak Chau-kuen. Miu writes the love ballad for Mak after they are separated due to Miu joining the army. After the war, Miu makes a living singing on the streets. He and Chau-kuen are reunited in the end.
