内容介绍 :	Wing-kwong and her mother have long depended on each other. Mother is forced to take up the profession of the flesh to survive, but Tiger Cheung, a rascal, makes life difficult for both mother and daughter. Their plight moves Ah Hong, a neighbour and an olive hawker, into letting Wing-kwong solicit customers by singing beside his stall. But Tiger appears to extort Wing-kwong's hard-earned money and submits her to constant beatings. Wing-kwong runs away and is tricked into a brothel. Mother is heart-broken after Wing-kwong's disappearance. She suffers a nervous breakdown, and only do Ah Hong's help and support help keeping her going. Ah Hong promises to look for Wing-kwong. One day, Ah Hong puts up his stall in front of the brothel where Wing-kwong works. Alerted by Ah Hong's voice crying out to solicit customers, Wing-kwong and Ah Hong are finally reunited. To pay off Wing- kwong's redemption fee, mother and Ah Hong save up each hard-earned penny, and manage to save $200. Wing-kwong is redeemed from the brothel, and they plan to move to somewhere else. Life is relatively peaceful in their new locality. Wing -kwong is sent to school, but the school director expels Wing-kwong on the ground that mother is working as a prostitute. Mother and daughter are forced to re-think, making plans to move to a place where they are not known. Tiger Cheung turns up at the moment when they are packing to leave. A clash occurs, and Tiger Cheung is killed by mother. She is arrested and sentenced to jail. A sympathetic teacher agrees to bring Wing-kwong home and look after her.
