内容介绍 :	Mei-neong has lost contact with her family since she was a child. Consequently she was sold into a brothel in Linan. Because of her beauty that is comparable to a flower, and her talents in music , chess, calligraphy and painting, Mei-neong is known as "champion beauty." Oil vendor Chun Chung meets Mei-neong and falls in love with her at first sight. In order to spend a night with her, Chun Chung economises on food and clothing to save enough money for a visit at the brothel. Eventually, he wins the affections of Mei-neong. After chung's departure, the dandy and bully Ng Bat takes Mei-neong away. Mei-neong is jettisoned at lakeside. Chung comes to her rescue and brings her home. Mei-neong willingly gives herself to him, coming up with private savings to redeem her bondage from the brothel. The affair between the oil vendor and Mei-neong becomes a cause celebre in the circles of the oldest profession. (Based on newspaper advertisements and the original folktale)
