内容介绍 :	Towards the end of the Song dynasty, Lo Chi-sum, a do-gooder in Weizhou City, earns the nickname of "Rude Monk" because of his rowdy ways. Cheng To is a money-lender in the city who charges high interest. Chui-lin travels together with her parents to Daizhou to visit her fiance. They arrive in Weizhou when her mother dies of an illness. They are short of money to pay for the funeral expenses. Borrowing from Cheng, Chui-lin puts her body up as collateral. She tries to escape when Cheng makes advances on her, but is re-captured. Learning this, Chi- sum confronts Cheng To and he kills him and in the course of struggle. Chi-sum brings Chui-lin and her father to Daizhou where she meets her fiance, Chiu, a scholar. Acting on Chiu's advice, Chi-sum shaves his head to pose as a monk and hide out in a temple on Mount Wutai. However, he is unable to adapt to the life of a monk and constantly gets drunk. Fortunately, the abbot is able to restrain him. Later, He descends from the mountain to feast and drink and make a nuisance of himself. Returning to Mount Wutai, a drunken Chi-sum demands entry into the temple but is refused. He breaks down the door and attacks the monks. The abbot restrains him and advises him to seek another temple which is willing to take him in. (Extracted from the film brochure)
