内容介绍 :	Engineer Ho Chi-keung and Leung Yeuk-lan are lovers. Yeuk-lan meets her childhood sweetheart, her cousin Wong Kim-wan, who is a famous opera star. Their feelings for each other are rekindled and Chi-keung is tormented because of this. Neglecting his work, Chi-keung goes every day to Yeuk-lan's house to propose to her . Soon, he is sackScript Continuity Though Kim-wan still loves Yeuk-lan, he puts his career first. Moved by Chi-keung's devotion to Yeuk-lan, he leaves for Singapore to advance his career. Chi-keung and Yeuk-lan later marry. To earn a living, Chi-keung goes to Singapore to look for a job, leaving a pregnant Yeuk-lan behind. In Singapore, the factory where he works is closed down and he is forced to work as a labourer. Kim -wan, while performing in Singapore, comes across Chi-keung in the street. Chi-keung has now contracted tuberculosis. Kim-wan helps him financially and sends money back to Yeuk-lan in his name. An ailing Chi-keung returns to Hong Kong. Upon realising his mother-in-law regrets allowing her daughter to marry him, he decides to leave Yeuk-lan. He leaves a letter on the eve of Kim-wan's gala performance in Hong Kong. A distraught Yeuk-lan decides to bring up their child. Chi-keung, assured that his wife will be well taken care of by Kim-wan, quietly leaves.
