内容介绍 :	Ching Yuk-fung is a young woman whose mother died when she was young. Her father Ching Yuk-kei marries another woman. Despising Yuk-fung, the stepmother and her adulterer conspire to kill her while Yuk-kei was away on a business trip. With the help of a maid Ah Fa, Yuk-fung manages to escape by night. But she falls unconscious outside Lam's mansion and is rescued by Mrs Lam, who takes pity on her and adopts her as her daughter. The next day, Yuk-kei returns home and falls in his wife's schemes in stealing his fortune and running away with her adulterer. They are robbed on the road and get killed. That same night, Ching's house catches fire, killing Yuk-kei in his sleep. Yuk-fung is thus homeless and stays with Mrs Lam. Yuk-fung falls in love with Man Tsi-chun, Mrs Lam's nephew. Tsi-chun brings Yuk-fung to Hong Kong to visit his parents, hoping to gain their consent to their marriage. However, the parents oppose the marriage. Tsi-chun is forced by his father to marry Ha Bik-yan, a rich man's daughter. In despair, a pregnant Yuk-fung leaves. Yuk-fung meets Ah Fa, and with her help, she gives birth to a daughter, Siu-fung. One day, Yuk-fung sees Tsi-chun again in the house where Ah Fa works. Shocked, Yuk-fung dashes out with her daughter. A car hits them; Siu-fung is killed on the spot. Finally, Bik-yan realises that Tsi-chun is in love with Yuk-fung and agrees to a divorce, making it possible for Tsi-chun to reunite with Yuk-fung. (Based on viewing of the film.)
