内容介绍 :	Gambler Bai Ke meets Feng Shida at the gambling club where he frequents, and learns that the latter is the heir to a family fortune . Ke exploits his relationship with social butterfly Jin Lili, who had been helped by Ke when fleeing at wartime, to conspire in swindling Shida's fortune. Ke registers Lili into the Hong Kong Mermaid Beauty Pageant in order to attract Shida's attention. Then, Lili is to seduce Shida into a love affair. As Lili has won in the pageant, Ke pressurises her to lure Shida to invest in a business venture. Touched by Shida's sincerity, Lili eventually confesses the conspiracy to Shida. She sells off her jewellery to raise the money that Ke wants. Ke uses the money for smuggling activities, and in the process, kills several anti-contraband agents. He prepares his getaway, forcing Lili to drug Shida into a stupor and stealing his personal seal. A cheque for a huge sum is issued but when Ke goes to the bank to cash it, Shida and a police contingent are waiting for him. Ke is shot to death in the gun battle that follows. Shida turns out to be an undercover policeman posing as a rich heir. He reveals his identity to Lili, and the two leave hand-in-hand. (Extracted from the film handbill.)
