内容介绍 :	As Lunar New Year approaches, the pet dog of a rich businessman falls ill. To restore the festive atmosphere at his family, he employs a well-known veterinarian to cure the dog. Meanwhile, an unemployed tramp, Charlie and his wife quarrel over their penniless condition. An unemployed teacher and his wife are pressed for rent by their landlady. The poor teacher has only $20 and he has to give that to the landlady. Their child is ill and they need $50 for medicine. Charlie is sympathetic to their plight. He and his brother break into the rich man's home to steal medicine. Feeling cold, Charlie puts on the rich man's sleeping gown to keep warm. At this point, the rich man returns and puts a bag, which contains $100000 on the desk - money from selling drugs in collusion with another corrupt businessman. While the rich man is taking a bat, a servant mistakes Charlie for the rich man and gives him the bag of money for safekeeping. By this time, Charlie's brother has stolen the medicine and signals Charlie to leave. With the money, Charlie urges the teacher's wife to take her child to hospital. The teacher later collects enough evidence to prove the rich man's illegal deeds and informs the police. The two corrupt men are arrested. Charlie and his brother are awarded with 10 percent of the money, which they use to celebrate Lunar New Year with their poor neighbours. (Extracted from the film brochure.)
