内容介绍 :	Szeto Man-sing, descendent from a noble family, grows up together with cousin Miu-yee. The lovers pledge eternal fidelity but fate plays a nasty hand. Arranged by her mother, Miu-yee is forced into a marriage to a rascal Lee Fuk-sang who regularly beats her. Thus, Miu-yee and her mother take refuge in Man-sing's home. Their mutual affection never subsides. Man-fung , another cousin of Man-sing, has recently become a widow. She also stays in Man-sing's home. She falls in love with Man-sing and vows to come between Man-sing and Miu-yee. She schemes to have an affair with Man-sing and threatens him to break ties with Miu-yee. To further complicate the matter, Man-sing's parents arrange for him to marry Yip Tsi-wan, a trendy girl. Man-sing and Miu-yee agonise over the situation . Man-fung is indignant to see the pair does not break apart. She therefore incites Man-sing's mother to have Miu-yee sent back to her husband. Miu-yee attempts to kill herself in her husband's home, but is saved by her maid Chui-chui. Meanwhile, Man-sing asks his best friend Dr Cheung to persuade his parents to cancel the arranged marriage. But his father simply does not listen. His mother, on Man-fung's advice, decides to have Man-sing locked inside the house. Chui-chui has seen enough. She tells Man-sing's mother about Man-fung's plots, and also devises a plan for Fuk-sang to divorce Miu-yee so that she can return to Man-sing's home. Now that Man-fung is pregnant and tries to force a marriage with Man-sing. However, Man-sing's mother quickly arranges for Man-sing to marry Tsi-wan. An upset Man-fung comes to Man-sing's home to cause a scene. Fearing that Man-fung may cause trouble, Man-sing's mother hires a killer to murder Man-fung. Fuk-sang exposes the matter to the court. Man-sing is also accused of adultery. The court finds Man-sing's mother guilty, and Man-sing too is given a jail sentence. Man-sing's mother and Miu-yee later die of afflictions.
