内容介绍 :	Sing Pak-nin and his son, Sai-on, return home from the United States. His cousin, Kong Shu-yan, gives them a welcoming reception. Shu-yan's daughter, Yee-mei, falls in love with Sai-on and they decide to marry. However, Shu-yan is actually eyeing on Pak -nin's money and swindles him. A depressed Pak-nin falls ill and eventually dies. Yee-mei and Sai-on become estranged; their marriage ends in divorce. Unable to make any headway in life, Sai-on becomes suicidal but is persuaded to carry on by his friends. Later, he meets laundry girl Yau Man-ping, who is the spitting image of Yee-mei. He consoles Man-ping, who is also in a state of depression and wants to commit suicide. When Man -ping is harassed by Shu-yan's adopted son, Long-sang, Sai-on comes to her help but he is beaten up by Long-sang. Long-sang cheats his father of his fortune and Shu-yan becomes a pauper. Yee -mei is forced to become a servant. Long-sang finally suffers from his own consequences and ends up being killed by an associate. The murderer is arrested and the money returned to Shu-yan. Shu-yan, however, decides to return the money to Sai-on, but the latter is making a stable living selling newspapers and decides to donate the money to the poor. Shu-yan by chance meets Man-ping and recognises her as his lost twin daughter. The family is thus reunited. (Based on viewing of the film.)
