内容介绍 :	Hung Kam-lung is the son of a rich man who uses his father's funds to start a nightclub. The father is outraged by this and dies of despair. Kam-lung closes down his father's factory and this leads to a quarrel with his brother Kam-fai. When Kam-lung demands that the family fortune be divided, Kam-fai asks for the factory. Because of lack of funds, Kam-fai turns the factory into a cooperative with the workers as shareholders. His partners include Cheung Fat and Lee Hak-lim. Kam-fai meets Cheung Fat's two daughters, Yuet-sheung and Yuet-ngo. Yuet-sheung is the wife of Lee Hak-lim, the foreman. When Cheung Fat is seriously injured in an industrial accident, a desperate Yuet-ngo goes to Kam-lung for help. Attracted to her, Kam-lung at first pretends to be generous but later forces her to become a dance hall girl. Her father, enraged, falls ill and dies. Feeling guilty, Yuet-ngo decides to kill herself by taking poison, but is saved by Kam-fai, who discloses his love for her. Yuet-sheung plans revenge. She leaves home and goes to her friend Mary, a dance hall girl, asking her to teach her the tricks of the trade. (Continued in Part Two.) (Extracted from the film brochure.)
