内容介绍 :	Overseas Chinese Chan Chong-shan, a widow, has returned to Hong Kong, His daughter, Chan Suk-yin, goes to school in Shanghai where she develops an intimate relationship with schoolmate Ching Ka-chi, while fending off the unwanted attentions of a fellow overseas Chinese Leung Wai-sing. Her father, Chong-shan, meanwhile has fallen in love with seductress Mui Fei-fei and makes her his second wife. Fei-fei, in fact, is a female hoaxer in company with cohorts Yuen Pak-wai and Ah Luk. After cheating Chong-shan of his money, the hoaxers decamp. Fei-fei's next target is Ching Ka-chi. She manages to convince Ka-chi's rich parents to arrange her marriage to their son . At this time, Leung Wai-sing makes a play for Suk-yin, resulting in a misunderstanding between Suk-yin and Ka-chi. In a fit of anger, Suk-yin agrees to marry Wai-sing, while Ka-chi agrees to marry Fei-fei. On the day of their wedding, Chong-shan discovers that Ka-chi's bride is none other than his second wife while Ah Sam, a servant girl in the Ching family, discovers that Wai-sing is the man who has swindled her of her money. Fei-fei and Wai-sing are arrested by the police, and Suk-yin and Ka-chi become husband and wife. (Extracted from the film brochure.)

备注 :	Film review: At a time when pictures dealing with family values and social problems as well as war pictures addressing vital matters of resisting the enemy are coming to the fore, a director who shows an aptitude for light comedy is sure to be overlooked unfortunately, in the postwar recovery of Cantonese cinema, the family melodrama, the social conscience picture and the war picture of national defence are not what the audience needs the audience would rather go for a refreshing "comedy" preferring such over those ridiculous, absurd "farces" (Extracted from the film brochure)
