内容介绍 :	Yuk-ching and Yuk-sau are daughters of the irascible Master Lui. Pretty and innocent, the two girls fall into a great illness out of which Yuk-ching becomes dumb and Yuk-sau becomes deaf. Hiding their maladies, Master Lui marries off his daughters to Cheung Kam-fat and Wong Tin-lok respectively. Cheung is a lawyer while Wong is interested in drama. After discovering their wives' maladies, they seek the services of a doctor Pao Tak who was struck off the medical register of practising doctors because he once offended Master Lui by failing to cure Yuk-ching and Yuk-sau. Pao now hopes to win back Master Lui's favour by treating his two daughters. Pao has a dream of his ancestors leaving behind the secrets of curing deaf and dumb sicknesses. With this, Pao cures the two girls but Yuk-ching becomes so garrulous that Kam-fat cannot defend his cases while Yuk-sau spends all her days singing that Tin-lok cannot write his operas. Thus the two husbands ask Pao to restore their wives' maladies but afraid of offending the Master, he makes the husbands respectively deaf and dumb. On knowing this, the Master goes into a rage and forces Pao Tak to take his own medicine and shoots him dead. Pao Tak wakes up from his dream and in a mental frenzy steals a policeman's gun. Not believing Pao Tak's story, the police take him to the station. At this point, the two husbands arrive to ask Pao Tak for a cure for their wives' maladies. Pao Tak advises both men that they have to live with the consequences of blind marriages. Speechless, the men leave while Pao Tak is taken to the police station. (Extracted from film brochure.)
