内容介绍 :	Chow Chen-bong joins the army during the anti-Japanese war and fights bravely. However, he suffers severe shellshock in the battlefield which leads to amnesia. After the war, Chen-bong and the officer Lee Wai return to their native south. One day, Chen-bong collapses on the street and is given first aid by the opera star Chan Kit-lin. From then on, Chen-bong, Kit-lin and Lee Wai become best friends. When Lee Wai is recalled by the army to serve in the north, Chen-bong and Kit-lin become lovers. Chen-bong and Kit-lin marry and start a performing team of husband and wife, acting in the play, "The Crazy Duke". Kit-lin later becomes pregnant and temporarily retires from the stage. At this time, Chen-bong recovers his memory after a car collision but does not recall Kit-lin or his marriage to her. He returns to his village while Kit-lin gives birth to a son. Lee Wai returns to visit Kit-lin and learns that Chen-bong has gone missing. He looks for him and finds out that Chen-bong has returned to his village. Lee and Kit-lin pretend that they are brother and sister and go looking for Chen-bong. Chen-bong does not recall his vow with Kit-lin but he falls in love with her all over again and asks to marry her. But a distraught Kit-lin leaves him thinking he has forgotten their previous liaison. However, Chen-bong slowly recalls Kit-lin, leading to their final reunion. They go on stage once more to perform "The Crazy Duke". (Extracted from the film brochure )
