内容介绍 :	Zhou Yuanying is the manager of a property company, with a wife Ye Changhua and two children Dawei and Peizhen. Changhua neglects her husband and children because of her love for fun and gambling. Changhua's sister Manhua comes to stay. She becomes the children's tutor as well as housekeeper. Yuanying suffers from heart disease, and the family doctor advises him to go to the countryside to relax. An excursion to the countryside is planned but at the last minute, Changhua breaks the appointment. An angry Yuanying brings his two children and Manhua to the country. A storm intrudes their journey and they are forced to take shelter in a deserted temple. Manhua contracts tuberculosis as a result of the journey. Yuanying arranges for her to stay in an orphanage which he built in the countryside. Yuanying dies. On her sister's request, Manhua goes to stay with Changhua, bringing along a little girl Peiling , supposedly an orphan. Yuanying's brother Shiying has long been attracted to Manhua. Changhua is willing to arrange a match but Manhua refuses, revealing that Peiling is her love-child. Pressed to reveal the father's identity, Manhua refuses. In retaliation of Manhua's closeness to Dawei and Peizhen, Changhua spoils Peiling who idles away her time in pleasure seeking. Manhua is distressed. When Peiling is going to get married, Manhua decides to hand over the bank book of Peiling's actual father. Changhua sees the bank book and discovers that Yuanying is Peiling's actual father. She forgives Manhua. On the day of Peiling's wedding, Changhua asks Peiling to call Manhua "mother" so that Manhua may be comforted in her sickbed.
