内容介绍 :	On the strong encouragement of his wife Chun Heung-lin, Chan Sai-mei goes to the capital to sit for the imperial examinations. He passes and becomes the emperor's favourite; soon he is selected to be the emperor's son-in-law. As his family waits for his return to no avail, Heung-lin takes to the streets to sing for a living, while searching for Chan Sai-mei. However, Chan refuses to recognise his wife when the crunch comes, exposing his real nature as an ingrate. (Based on the newspaper advertisements.)
