内容介绍 :	Chunmei's husband was shanghaied into the Kuomintang army a few years back; now her brother-in-law has been taken in by the village chief. Chunmei goes to Li Chuntang, her previous employer, to negotiate with the village chief for her case but Li has her evicted from the premises. News reaches the village that Chunmei's husband has deserted into the People's Liberation Army and has become the regimental commander. Though the village chief intends to lock Chunmei up in prison, the cunning landlord Xu Fu wishes to seek connection with her, thereby securing the protection of the Red Army. Landlord Xu sends in a sedan chair to bring Chunmei home, claiming that she is his god-daughter. Li Chuntang now claims that Chunmei is of her family. In the midst of these arguments, the People's Liberation Army march into the village. The landlords are in disarray, whereas Chunmei and the people welcome the Red Army.
