When King-hoi calls again for his hat, Yin-hung puts on an act to win the banker's sympathy and manages to persuade him to get her a job in the bank. Unbeknownst to King-hoi, Yin-hung is acting in collusion with her lover Ah Kot. On the pretext of showing gratitude, Yin -hung invites King-hoi to her apartment where she seduces an intoxicated King-hoi. Yin-hung threatens to expose the affair unless King-hoi lives with her and pays her a lump sum. King-hoi's wife is suspicious of her husband who keeps on returning home late. Meanwhile, King-hoi appropriates funds from the bank to pay Yin-hung. The fraud is exposed. The bank seizes King-hoi's home. The wife is so upset that she commits suicide.Yin-hung now gets into a quarrel with Ah Kot over the division of spoils. King-hoi discovers that he is believedto be the fooled by both Yin-hung and Ah Kot. Ah Kot kills Yin-hung, but it is King-hoi who is suspected of killing her. King-hoi is at the end of his tether.
