内容介绍 : | After giving birth to the crown prince Tsi Wan, Queen Luk is sentenced to death by the emperor. Before expiring, the queen writes her last will on a handkerchief with her own blood, and entrusts her baby to faithful minister Kau Yuen. Kau Yuen's brother-in-law, Hung Sing, informs on him. The baby is handed to the servant Chow Yung and his wife, who immediately flee, while being pursued by soldiers. Yung is killed, but his wife and the baby successfully evade their pursuers, and eventually hide in the village. Ten years pass. Before Yung's wife dies, she tells Tsi Wan the truth about his lineage. Tsi Wan is adopted by the wealthy Sek Chun. He studies in a private school, together with Chun's daughter Fung-ming. While defending her at school one day, Tsi Wan clashes with Suen Mou, the son of the traitor Suen, commander of the guard. Tsi Wan's identity is exposed, and is about to be arrested by Commander Suen. After revealing his identity to Sek Chun, Tsi Wan fights his way out, and is given refuge by On Chow-ping, master of the Yi On Inn. Tsi Wan falls in love with Chow-ping's daughter, Shui-lan, and gives Shui-lan his mother's oath handkerchief as an engagement gift. Thus, Chow-ping's wife discovers Tsi Wan's real identity, and urges Chow-ping to inform the authorities for the sake of a reward. Shui-lan disguises herself and flees with Tsi Wan, but they are separated in the mountains. Shui-lan meets Sek Chun and daughter, who seek refuge in the home of a relative, Official Chik, where they reunite with Tsi Wan disguised as a boy attendant. War minister To is alerted and surrounds the premises with his army. Tsi Wan disguises himself as a girl to break through the blockade. Helped by a group of shepherds led by sworn brother Hau Kung, Tsi Wan takes refuge in the mountains, awaiting the day when he will claim the throne in his own right.
