内容介绍 :	During the fall of Canton, Yu Shun-chi is separated from and loses touch with his wife and children in the chaos. He has no choice but to live with his daughter, Mui, and an orphan, Kwong. Twenty years later, Yu has gained both fame and wealth and entrusts Kwong with great responsibilities. After being sent to Macau on business, Kwong is helped in every way by Lin, the secretary in the company's local office. Both develop a favourable impression of each other. It turns out that Lin also lost contact with her father during the war. Kwong consoles her and establishes a sexual relationship with her. Lin soon finds herself pregnant. After learning of the relationship between Kwong and Lin, Mui asks Lin to withdraw by threatening her with Kwong's career prospects. Out of consideration for Kwong, Lin sadly leaves him. After searching everywhere, Kwong is unable to find her. He has no choice but to take Yu's advice and marry Mui. During the wedding, Kwong learns Lin's whereabouts and rushes to reach a rapprochement with her. But Mui is unwilling to give up and is determined to get him back. Kwong changes his job to become a teacher and enjoys his prosaic life with Lin. When Yu learns Kwong's whereabouts, he goes alone to visit him. As he is quarrelling with Lin, he discovers that she is the daughter he lost touch with during the war. Yu is then in a difficult position as regards the relationship among Kwong, Lin and Mui. At first, Lin intends to withdraw. But it is Mui who finally decides to give up and depart for a distant place, because she feels that her elder sister Lin is great. In the end, Kwong and Lin can live together for the rest of their lives.
