内容介绍 :	Lee Hon-man is an orphan who is left in the care of a Buddhist temple and is raised by the Buddhist monk, Ng Hung. Feeling that Man is extraordinarily clever and will become a useful person in future, Hung puts him under very strict discipline. Chow Wan-fung is pregnant with the baby of her lover Man. However, Fung has to flee without notifying Man, in order to evade the hostile creditor to whom her father owes huge gambling debts. Fung gives birth to a son, Siu-man, she work as a song girl to earn a living. Man sets off in search of Fung. Soon , he is in the good graces of Minister Choi, who asks him to become his gardener. There, he finds favour with Minister Choi's young daughter. Coincidentally, the official Lee Tin-shing visits Minister Choi and, after identifying a keepsake, unexpectedly discovers that Man is his own son. Man reunites with his natural father. Minister Choi then finds it desirable to act as a matchmaker between Man and his daughter. Man is so upset and confused that he goes to the brothel in order to have his anxiety removed, there he meets Fung again. They feel as if they have been separated for a lifetime. Rather oddly, Shing holds a prejudice against Fung. To keep his office and to avoid offending Minister Choi, however, Shing refuses to recognise Fung as his daughter-in-law. He even orders her to leave the imperial capital at once. Fung sobs and begs Shing to try to understand her situation. But she is also unwilling to put Man in a difficult position. So she has no alternative but to sadly leave. Fung meets Man's mother, a nun, and learns that they share the same fate. Man's mother brings Fung home to confront and reprimand Shing. The lovers are given the elders' blessings.
