内容介绍 :	Man Sai-cheong, the son of rich parents, is in love with a village girl Ho Kam-ying. Man's uncle covets for Ho's beauty, he thus incites conflict between Man's father and Ho. Man is forced to go to Kwong Chow for study, but he has sexual relationship with Ho during vacation. Ho's house is destroyed by Japanese army. She then goes to look for Man in Kwong Chow, but he has already been sent to Hong Kong. Fortunately she meets her cousin Mei-fun and stays with her. Man's father claims he is dying and Man's uncle lies to Man that Ho has died already. Man therefore marries a rich lady Lam Chui-ping to cheer his father up. Meanwhile, Ho gives birth to Man's child who is named Siu-cheong. Since she works as a full time nanny for a rich family, Mei-fun and her husband Kwok-kuen take care of the infant. It turns out that the employer of Ho is Lam's cousin. When Man encounters Ho, he insists in having Ho as his wife and divorcing from Lam. Since Ho does not want to destroy Man's family and career, she leaves for Brazil with her employer. Man hence becomes an alcoholic. Ho returns from Brazil for vacation several years later. She is glad to see Mei-fun and Kwok-kuen treat Siu-cheong as their own son. Unfortunately, Mei-fun is hit by serious illness, and she urges Kwok-kuen to marry again so that he has somebody to take care of Siu-cheong and their daughter Po-lin. In order to make a living, Ho goes back to Brazil with her employer and again leaves her son for Kwok-kuen's care. Man's parents and wife die in the war, leaving him and his daughter. Kwok-kuen marries again, but the new wife at first tortures the children but begins to love them after her husband teaches her a lesson.
