内容介绍 :	Lau Tin-ngai is in love with Leung Fong-cho. Because Tin-ngai has to go to the battlefield, Fong-cho is forced to marry the dead son of the local despot Ching Yu-ting. After the war, Tin-ngai comes back to find Fong-cho, and he learns Fong-cho's news from a good friend Lee Chi-sang. He sneaks into the Ching family in the name of a private tutor. With the help of Chi-sang and a servant girl Kwai-heung, he meets Fong-cho. Fong-cho doesn't want Tin-ngai to get into danger in the Ching family, so she decides to kill herself but she is saved . Fong-cho is honored with a chastity memorial archway and Ching Yu-ting intends to make use of this to raise his prestige in the village. He also adopts Tin-ngai as his brother in order to help him participate in political affairs. On the day when the archway is raised, Chi-sang has organized the village folks to oppose it. Fong-cho and Tin-ngai tell their story of persecution to the people. Under the pressure of the folks, Ching Yu-ting becomes aware of the mistakes he has done. He let Fong-cho and Tin-ngai get together again.
