内容介绍 :	During the Qing Dynasty, after the rebellion of The Royal Residence, Emperor Tungzhi's political power is still controlled by the Empress of the East and the Empress of the West. The Empress of the East Cian is kind, while the Empress of the West Cixi is cruel and ruthless, and she loves to outshine others. Although it is said they manage the affairs of the dynasty together, it is actually Cixi who arrogates all the power. An Dehai, who is Cixi's beloved eunuch, runs wild in the palace. Tungzhi wants to remove him. One day, Tungzhi meets Guei-lin, a maid in the palace; he falls in love at the first sight. An Dehai tells Cixi, and instigates her to give Guei-lin to his brother and arrange Tungzhi's marriage as soon as possible. But the one who marries Guei-lin is not An Dehai's brother; it's An Dehai himself. Guei-lin'd rather die than marry him. An Dehai then sells her to the prostitute house. After Tungzhi marries, he is good to the queen who is selected by Cian, and treats coldly the concubine Wei who is selected by Cixi. So Cixi orders Tungzhi to be ascetic for one month. Tungzhi is bored to death. With the help of eunuch Xiao Lizi, he slips outside the palace and goes to the brothel. However, he catches DV afterward. The queen and the foetus are also infected. Cixi thinks that Tungzhi's illness is infected by the queen , so she beats the queen, who is pregnant for seven months, severely. Tungzhi, who is seriously ill, is badly upset and dies. From the time on, Cixi becomes aggravated. She kills the queen brutally and poisons Cian to death, so she can arrogate all power.
