内容介绍 :	Based on a folk legend, this film tells the story of the love between scholar Lee Shu-wan and Military Minister Wong Kwok-hing's daughter, Kong-sin. When Shu-wan's family goes downhill, Kwok-hing changes his mind about the marriage. He forces Shu-wan to sign a letter of divorce and betroths Kong-sin to another scholar, Siu Hung. Kwok-hing goes even further to frame Shu-wan. Shu-wan is sentenced to death. Fortunately, Shu-wan is saved by a sympathetic police officer. Kong-sin encourages Shu-wan to go to the capital to sit for the imperial examination and gives him a golden butterfly as a token of her love. On the day of her wedding to Siu Hung, Kong-sin is kidnapped by Shu-wan's best friend Tong Lung -kwong. Finally, Shu-wan appeals to the emperor for justice and is proven innocent of all crimes. He and Kong-sin marry and live happily together.
