内容介绍 :	Lan Lan travels from Peking to London to look for Mr . Wong, a man supporting her studies. To her surprise, Wong asks her to marry his son Charles. Lan refuses and leaves the Wong's family. She goes to seek refuge with Su Tong, a middle-aged Chinese man who has once showed her the way. Su Tong arranges a home stay for her in his friend Li Wah's house. Lan learns English on one hand and looks for a job on the other hand. Both Su and Charles show their full concern for her. Lan applies for a scholarship and she is disappointed. It so happens that Su and his friend Deng Ning plan to set up a takeaway business without a valid license. He suggests Lan to form partnership and even invites her to live under the same roof. The three act in concord. The affections between Lan Lan and Su grow. Su has a wife and a son in Peking. He wants to escape but Lan wants to develop their love relationship. Deng uses the business money to apply for a passport and he is cheated. Su is enraged and he uses force on Lan in impulse. This does not hurt Lan but the three can no longer maintain their cooperation. Su sends Lan to Li Wah's home and severs their contact afterwards. At that time, Charles appears and he shows meticulous attention to Lan . The latter finally agrees to marry him. One day Lan and Su meet again by chance. They are so overwhelmed that they cannot express themselves; they ultimately stay overnight together and have sexual relations. The story ends up by Su boarding a plane to Peking on the day of Lan's wedding.
