内容介绍 :	The opera-singer Foot-six brings up an orphan Sheung-kwun Mei-yuk , he also teaches her how to sing. Yuk's neighbour Lin Sing helps her to get a chance to perform at the teahouse. Yau Yau, who is the son of a wealthy family, is attracted by Yuk and he promises to compose an opera for her . Yuk falls in love with Sing and Sing is going to his hometown to inform his parents about the marriage. Yau is disappointed, but he promises to look after Yuk. Hong Kong is occupied by the Japanese troops. Foot-six is killed by a bomb, meanwhile his wife dies from illness, and Lin-shing disappears. Yuk is separated from her lover Sing in the war, she later marries Sing's friend Yau. Meanwhile , Sing becomes a guerilla and is later arrested by the Japanese army. On the day after the wedding, Sing escapes from prison only to find Yuk and Yau a married couple, he leaves dejectedly. Knowing that Sing is injured, Yuk goes to rescue him, while Yau is staying in bed because of illness. On the way, Yuk meets Siu-kuen who is the cousin of Yau. Kuen has been in love with Yau so she is jealous of Yuk. Kuen tells Yau's father that Yuk indeed was a singer. Yau's father is so angry that he expels Yuk and Yau. Yau falls sick and is about to die because of constant overwork. Yuk begs Yau's father to send Yau to the hospital. Yau's father makes use of the chance to force Yuk to divorce. Yau dies of an illness, the Japanese surrender and Sing returns to rekindle his love with Yuk.
