内容介绍 :	During the period of the Warring States, a powerful state Qin stages a large-scale invasion over the various neighboring states. The Zhao State seeks the help of the Qi State in defence. The King of Qi in return asks Lord Cheung-on to be the hostage. The princess reagent of Zhao does not want to comply and she goes everywhere to select highly capable personnel to safeguard the state. Ching-wan, the adopted son of the Minister Ma Hang-tin, has excellent civil and military knowledge. He is appreciated by the princess and is conferred the title of Superior General. Wan suggests the princess to accept the request of Qi. After Lord Chang-an has been sent to Qi, Wan immediately associates with Qi and launches an attack against Qin. The princess has already adored Ching-wan for quite some time. Upon departure for the fight, she gives a lute with jasper mountings as a token for betrothal to Ching-wan. Qi and Zhao have a landslide victory over Qin and the Qin soldiers have retreated. However , the King of Qi still holds Lord Chang-an as hostage. To safeguard the state, the princess has to marry the King of Qi. She wants to hide the fact from Wan for fear that he will bungle matters. Ching-wan misapprehends the princess as renouncing their engagement and he humiliates her. On the day of marriage, the princess tells Wan the whole story, having seen that Lord Chang-an has been sent back. To save the princess, Wan immediately challenges the King of Qi. Wan is in a disadvantageous position and in the moment of peril, the princess plays the four-stringed Chinese lute to foster his spirit. At the end, the King suffers a crushing defeat and he promises not to attack Zhao in the future. The princess and Wan who love each other dearly can finally get married.
