内容介绍 :	Wan To-hung earns her living by singing in a brothel. She is in love with Ching Yat-wong, a poor scholar with excellent military and literary knowledge. Hung is forced to marry a rich man Wong Pak-tan by her foster mother. Hung and Wong contemplate to take poison to declare their love. It happens that Tan comes for a visit, and drinks the poisonous wine by mistake. Hung pleads guilty in order to save Wong. Wong, wishing to see Hung, deliberately stirs up trouble and is jailed for one day. On that day, bandits raid the prison and Wong helps to repulse them. He then follows the police and smashes the bandits' den. Wong chances to save Ng Sheung-fa, the daughter of the inspector general. The official rewards Wong by making him a high official and his son in-law. Wong re-opens Hung's case but arouses the official's suspicion of him practising jobbery. To pursue the truth, the official grants fake poisonous wine to the two. The lovers take it without hesitation. The inspector general is moved to free Hung.
