内容介绍 :	Since the wealthy gentry Master Ding has passed away, the elder son and his wife take up the responsibility of keeping the family, which they do very well. The second son and his wife are loose and idle, and even abuse their own son. Aiming at the family's fortune, they frame their brother up and urge the military force to enlist him in the army. When their brother is away from home, the second son and his wife swallow the family's fortune and live a luxurious life. On the other hand, the stepmother and their sister-in-law live in poverty and have to work as servants in order to survive. After the second son is scolded by his stepmother, he is so furious that he expels her and his sister-in-law from the house. They work very hard to earn bread and butter. But the stepmother suffers from a chronic disease. Moreover, they have no extra money. The second son refuses to give a hand. The stepmother attempts to kill herself in order to relieve the burden of the elder daughter-in-law. Under such pressure, the elder daughter-in-law decides to sell her daughter. At this moment, the elder son returns. The elder son strongly condemns the evil deeds of the second son and his wife. They are very regretful and finally understand the meaning of filial piety. The Dings thus live happily together.
