内容介绍 :	At the graduation ceremony, Jiang Ming represents the graduates to deliver a speech in which he tells a sad story of his family. Ming, her brother and parents lived in the countryside where the rent was generally low. Life was hard but happy. Ming's father was a rank-and-file staff in the bank. With limited income, he could hardly support the family. But he insisted on sending his children to school. In order to save money, he gave up smoking and went to work everyday on bike instead of taking the train. To relieve her family's straitened circumstances, Jiang Ming quits school to work in a playground and lies to her parents that she had got a scholarship. When his parents knew the truth, their hearts were broken. Her father lies that he has a wage rise so that she may continue her studies with her mind at ease. The old man in fact works part-time as a rickshaw-puller. After Ming's mother learns this, she hawks in the streets with Ming's brother. He was accidentally hurt by boiling oil. Ming's father, who was sick himself, worked even harder to earn money for his son's medical treatment. He is knocked down by a car in an accident. With the support of her teachers, relatives and friends, Ming at last graduates from school, to the father's great joy.
