内容介绍 :	Ma Cho-man has been married to Lan for 7 years, with a son Keung, and Lan is expecting a second baby. Cho-man is promoted to the post of company treasurer because the boss' cousin, Tong, messes up the accounts, and is required to clear them up in one week. In fact, Tong embezzles with colleagues Sze and Cheng. To settle the amount embezzled, the three set Cho-man up. They take Chor-man to play mahjong with them, and introduce Lily Ting, who comes from South East Asia, to him. Chor-man is made drunk and spends the night at Lily's place. The next morning Lily lies to Cho-man that they have made love. After work that day, Cho-man goes to a club with Tong, Cheng, Sze and Lily, meeting the smuggler Tso Tai- biu there. They all invest in Tai-biu's smuggled goods. After that Cho-man hurries to the birthday banquet of his rich father-in-law, who hates Cho-man very much and chases him away. The smuggled goods produce a huge profit of 30 per cent, and Cho-man takes five thousand dollars from the company to invest in the next batch of smuggled goods. He also gives Lily money to buy jewellery. Tai-biu tells Cho-man that the batch of goods he has invested in is lost. Cho-man returns to the office at night to get some money, hoping to use it to settle the embezzled amount by gambling. But he is caught by the boss. Unable to settle the amount, Cho-man is fired . Cho-man finally manages to find Lily after several months of unemployment. Lily refuses to return the money. They start a brawl, and Cho-man accidentally kills Lily. He is arrested and sentenced to 18 years in prison. On the day the manslaughter is committed, Lan gives birth to a baby girl. Lan's mother passes away. She hurries with her children to pay her respects, but her father shows her the door. While offering incense at the door, Keung is killed by a car. Lan goes home to find Cho-man's mother has committed suicide by hanging herself. Losing all hope, Lan leaves her baby at the gates of a rich family. Then she thinks of taking her own life.
