内容介绍 :	Fan Lei-fa is fatally attracted to General Sit Ting-shan, who has lost a battle. After agreeing secretly to marry him, Fan releases Sit. This infuriates her father and brother and she accidentally kills them in the struggle. On the date of their marriage, Fan tells Sit what happened. Sit accuses her of being wicked and refuses to marry her. Fan is heartbroken and returns home. Sit and his father go to conquer the west. In the battle Sit kills his own father by mistake. There is no one to lead the army. The king orders Sit to beg Fan to join the army. Fan demands to read the imperial edict. Sit has to deliver it all the way to Cold River Pass by prostrating himself three times and knocking his head on the ground once at each prostration. He arrives only to receive the news that Fan has died of depression. Sit regrets this deeply, but his wish to see Fan for the last time is turned down. The king punishes Sit again to prostrate himself three times and knock his head on the ground nine times at each prostration on his way to pay homage to Fan. Sit cries mournfully for the spirit of his dead wife and is in deep grief. Fan , who pretended to be dead, is moved and decides to live again. The king grants Fan the title of Supreme Commander, and Sit the title of Second Commander and they head immediately for the west.
