内容介绍 :	Lee Yik, a talented scholar of Tang Dynasty. During the lantern festival at night in Chang An city, he meets song girl Fuk Siu-yuk. Their love affairs begins when Yik gives back to Yuk her purple hairpin. Yik is immensely in love with Yuk. A natural beauty who wants to find a talented husband, Yuk also finds out that the man who gives her the purple hairpin is the person she has been looking for. Yuk marries Yik and pledges her love with a purple jade hairpin. After their marriage, Yik becomes the Number One Scholar. Minister Lo wants Yik to marry into his family but Yik declines. Lo separates the couple by posting Yik to guard the frontier. Yuk misses her husband and her health deteriorates. She does not seek medical help, and her standard of living also declines because of tight financial situation. At last she has to pawn the purple hairpin. Three years pass. Lo lies to Yik that Yuk has married someone else, Lo accuses Yik of treason because a poem Yik wrote and presses him to marry his daughter. Yuk learns that her hairpin is sold to Lo's daughter whose bridegroom to be is Yik, she is heartbroken. 'Yellow-Garbed Knight' shows up and takes Yik away to see Yuk. Yuk knows Yik has not abandoned her, and she is given back her purple hairpin. Lo sends his troops to apprehend Yik. 'Yellow-Garbed Knight' tells Yuk to go to Lo's house and gets her husband back. When Lo tries to use his authority to force Yuk to give up Yik, his scheme is thwarted by Fourth Lord, who brings about the reunion of the couple in his 'Yellow-Garbed Knight' disguise .
