内容介绍 :	During the Manchurian period the Qing court adopts a policy of differentiation to alienate the Han people and the minorities. But Ng Fung, ever since he has taken up the post of ambassador, has always taken a negotiation role. This is a directly contradiction to the Qing's policy. Ng Fung is very popular amongst the two tribes, namely Shanleika and Datwaiya. The Qing Dynasty has a great hatred over him for this reason. At that time a new official is assuming the magisterial post. To assert a blow on Ng, he spies on the situation of the minorities through the wicked confidential secretary, who knows all the tricks of the officialdom and all the loopholes of the law. O Guo, the leader of the Shanleika tribe, is upset that he has to kill Han people according to the tribe's ritual. His friend Wana tries to ease his mind. She advises O not to stick on the tribal rules in jeopardizing the years of harmony between the Han people and the minorities. O cannot make up his mind. Famen, the niece of the wicked confidential secretary, eavesdrops on the conversation between the two. He informs O's fiancee Kaying to stir up disturbances. Ka, seeing O and Wa behaving intimately, disputes with O over the issue and they have conflicts. Ka's elder brother Pakyi is the head of the Datwaiya tribe. He is rash and impulsive in character. Seeing his younger sister at a disadvantageous position , he cannot put up with it and he goes to O to pick up the issue. The two get into a fight after blunt exchanges. It nearly develops into a tangled fighting between the two tribes. Fortunately, Ng comes to mediate. Wa swears to tamper all contacts with O for the sake of union between the two tribes. Wa avoids meeting O. Feeling disappointed, O revisits the place he and Wa often meet. The beautiful image of Wa goes back to his mind. The tribesmen hope that Wa can convince O in carrying out the tribal ritual. Wa does not agree to the idea. O goes to look for Wa. He will renounce the engagement with Kaying at any cost, in exchange for the reunion with Wa.
