General Kwan guards the Huarong path Lau Bei crosses the river to meet his bride |

内容介绍 : | Kwan Wan-cheung releases Cho Cho on the Huarong Path out of a past favour so that Cho may return to Wei. In order to reclaim the Jin Province, Suen Kuen lures Lau Bei to cross the river by betrothing to Bei his sister Sheung-heung. Heung has unexpectedly fallen in love with Bei, and the marriage proceeds. With the help of Bei's shrewd adviser, Chu-kot, who gives him three embroidered purses each containing a wise cousel guarantees that Bei will marry the beautiful Heung and brings her home. Bei and his general Chiu Chi-lung arrive at the Dung Ng state , they are confined in a guest house. Bei then takes out the first embroidered purse, it instructs Lung to put up the appearance of arranging for the wedding. The news reaches Heung and Kuen's mother, the latter apologises to Bei on behalf of Kuen. Furthermore, seeing that Bei as such a distinguished man, she immediately summons the wedding to be held. As Kuen has not realized his scheme, he makes the best of the bad bargain. He selects a large batch of beauties and singing girls, making Bei and his wife indulge in wine and sex to enervate their will power. Lung takes out the second embroidered purse. It indicates that Jing Zhou is in a perilous state, it is meant to remind Bei. Bei wakes up to his precarious position. He and Heung use the pretence of worshipping the ancestors to cross the river. The third embroidered purse instructs Bei to enlist the help of his wife for a safe crossing. Hearing that Bei is crossing the river, Kuen immediately rushes to the river. But Bei and the others are already in the middle of the river, Bei successfully flees from Kuen's territory. |
