内容介绍 :	Lee Wai- dak and Lee Wai-keung are brothers. Yet Madam Lee thinks that the elder son brings bad luck to the family and the younger son brings good fortune. She always favours Wai-keung. As a result, the younger becomes a beau. The brothers marry Miu-lan and Yim-fong respectively. On the day when Miu-lan gives birth to a girl, the Lee's family is bankrupted by a workers' strike. Madam Lee hates the couple even more. Wai-keung keeps on spending lavishly and cooperates with the drugpusher to earn money. He is arrested by the police. Wai-tak admits the offence is done by him, for the sake of his mother and younger brother. He is sentenced to seven years' imprisonment. Wai-keung is found not guilty and is released. Madam Lee really thinks that it is Wai-tak who commits the crime, so she expels Miu-lan and her daughter. The latter can only leave. Although Wai-tak sacrificed for him, Wai-keung has not mended his own ways. He is even addicted to drugs and he sinks even further. He depends on Yim-fong who prostitutes for a living. Later Yim-fong does not want to support Madam Lee and she ousts her. Miu-Lan and her daughter meet Madam Lee again. They treat her as they previously treated her. Wai-tak is released and Madam Lee realizes that Wai-tak has taken pains to protect his younger brother. She keeps thinking of Wai-keung and grows very sick. She is nearly dying. Wai-keung shifts the blame on Yim-fong and mistakenly kills her. Before he is arrested, he admits his fault and he repents.
