内容介绍 : | Emperor Lau Chun-kei indulges in comforts and pleasure. He is ultimately overthrown by Cho Sai-cheong. On the day when the city falls, Chun-kei escapes to the countryside and becomes a monk. The Queen Madame Azalea thinks that her husband is dead. To preserve Chi-yuk, the only descendent of the Lau's family, she is compelled to serve Sai-cheong. Sai-cheong treats Chi-yuk as his own son and brings up the child. Everyday Azalea urges Chi-yuk to learn. She waits for one day when her son grows up and avenge for his father. When Chi-yuk is eight years old, he hunts in the wilderness and meets Chun-kei by chance. The father is both shocked and glad. He understands the pains Azalea has taken and does not lay bare the truth. Chi-yuk returns to the palace and tells Azalea his encounter. Azalea feels the monk converses and behaves strangely. She believes that he has unusual background. Under the pretext of the birthday of Taoism. She invites all the monks with superior attainments and a cultivated personality into the palace to chant the scriptures. To her surprise she finds Chun-kei. They make an appointment to meet late at night. Sai-cheong hears that Azalea is meeting her former lover in private and he is enraged. He instructs Chi-yuk to kill Chun-kei. Azalea is forced to disclose the truth. Sai-cheong tries to kill Chun-kei. But Azalea is killed instead. Chi-yuk ultimately kills Sai-cheong to avenge for his mother. The throne goes back to the Laul family and Chi-yuk succeeds the throne. |
