内容介绍 :	Since talented scholar Leung Yik-chong has caught a glimpse of his cousin Yeung Yiu-sin, he is unable to forget her, even in his dreams, and does not hesitate to move and live next to her. Feeling that Leung is so full of talent, Yeung's father has specially made a side-door in the flower bushes so as to facilitate contact with Leung. One day, after Leung accidentally reads a poem written by Yeung, he appreciates it very much and composes a poem in response. Ever since then, the two of them make friends through their pens and ink and are secretly engaged to each other. However, Leung's father decides to arrange a marriage between Leung and the Minister's daughter without discussing it with his son. He hurriedly summons Leung home. Leung refuses to accept the marriage and explains that he already has an engagement and will never break it off. His father's anger is barely suppressible. He and Leung strike each other with their hands and they finally break up the father-and-son relationship. When Yeung hears that Leung has returned home to get married, she is so heart-broken that she tears into pieces the paper on which their oath of engagement is written. Yeung then moves to the imperial capital with her father and family. By the time Leung returns to Yeung's home, it is only to see the place deserted. Leung is thus all alone without any relatives. He is forced to become a beggar. But later, he is fortunate to meet his younger cousin, who is going to the imperial capital to sit the examination. The two of them then travel together to write the examination and Leung becomes the Number One Scholar. After his misunderstanding with Yeung has dissipated, he is sent to the border where robbers and thieves need to be wiped out. News of his death repeatedly reaches his family, and so his father immediately goes to the imperial capital from his hometown. Leung finally returns victorious and his father agrees to his marriage to Yeung.
