内容介绍 :	After Minister Wong's wife passes away, he marries again. His second wife is unkind to his daughter Wong Mei-ching, and forces his son Chau-yu, to leave home. Mei-ching has been promised for marriage to Hui Wai-cheong; however knowing Hui is poor, Minister Wong wants to renege on the promise. He bribes the Prefecture Official and frames Hui with something and puts him in jail. Mei-ching disguises as a man, and travels to the capital to look for her brother Chau Yu to try to save Hui. She searches all over the capital to no avail, and out of desperation, she uses Hui Wai Cheung's name and sits for the national examination , which she scores, top among the candidates. The Emperor's brother-in-law acts as matchmaker and wants the phony Hui Wai-cheung to marry the Princess. On the wedding night, Mei-ching tells everything to the Princess, and wins her sympathy. The next morning, the Princess goes to the Royal Court and relay the truth to the Emperor and wins his sympathy as well. Finally, to give the whole situation a happy ending, the Emperor's brother-in-law recommends the Emperor to adopt Mei-ching as god daughter so Hui Wai Cheung's marriage to a Princess will not go in vain. At the same time, Mei-ching's brother Chau-yu comes forward and reveals his identity. He also wins the heart from the Princess and becomes the real son-in-law to the Emperor.
