内容介绍 :	Deep in the autumn of 1998, Chiu Hung, a woman from the mainland , marries an American-Chinese and confidently immigrates to New York. Then she meets Wong Hung-ping, who is from Taiwan and has lived in America for more than a decade. She is deeply influenced by the American way of life and is actually an American at heart. She is infatuated with performing and cannot reconcile herself to being rejected by the Americans. She tries hard to enter the American stage. Chiu meets another woman, Lee Fung-kiu. Lee is from Hong Kong and is very self-confident . She immigrated to America only to please her father, yet she is a typical "Hongkonger". She can live anywhere provided that she can make money by speculating in stocks and properties. She looks down on Chinese from the mainland and Taiwan. Although these three women are from different places, have different backgrounds, different educational levels and different ways of thinking, they influence one another. When facing foreigners, they are very united. But when the three are alone, they reject one another. Thus, their lives are very contradictory.
