内容介绍 :	Wang Shung-wen is a scholar in Ming Dynasty. Though he passes the imperial examination in county level at the age 14, he fails the conutry level examination time after time. The date for country level examination is approaching. As he worries he would fail again, he repeatedly consults the fortune teller. One day, the fortune teller tells him to leave home at midnight and go to the Northwest direction, then he will meet someone that can help him. Wang follows the fortune teller's advice and arrives at the Temple of the literature God. He sees a beauty crying there, but then the beauty disappears. When Wang goes back home, he meets that beauty again. She says her name is Mei-niang and is the daughter of the examination officer. Wang wants to pull Mei-niang's connection and so he asks her to stay. They make love that night. Then Mei- niang finds out that Wang is already married and wants Wang to poison his wife. But Wang wavers as his wife is a virtuous wife. Mei-niang then uses magic to make Wang's wife sleep with a servant. Wang finally throws out his wife and marries Mei-niang. Wang's wife tries to commit suicide but is saved by Wang Shung-wu, Wong's younger brother. Shung-wu goes back home to find out what has happened. Mei-niang goes to his room and tries to seduce him. Shung -wu is very angry and injures Mei-niang's face. When Mei-niang goes to the study to treat her face, Shung-wu and Wang peep through the window. Then Wang knows that Mei-niang is a demon with planted skin. Knowing that he is no match for Mei-niang, Shung-wu asks his master for help. However, when his master arrives, Mei-niang has taken the heart of Wang. But the master finally kills Mei-niang.
